Hey All, I'm glad to announce that I participated in a Hackathon named Designathon organized by HySea teamed up with my School Friends and emerged as runner-up at the competition. There were around 2300+ participants, 190+teams and 50 Finalists. I'd Like to share the problem statement and the prototype of the UI/UX Design. Here it is...
Problem Statement
Design a platform that connects multiple organizational stakeholders to help students find matching jobs for their profiles.
Description
As per the given problem statement, we decided to build an app called 'JOY' which is an abbreviation for Joining Organizations and Youth. We had developed the prototype of the application by empathizing with the users. We tried to fit into their shoes and see everything from their perspective so that the application will be user friendly and the users will have a good experience. We added many features which will be helpful for the students and also the organizations at the same time.

Login/SignUp Page
This is the first page of the app. We named our app ‘JOY’ which is an abbreviation of Joining Organizations and Youth. You have two options on this page, which are sign up and log in.
If you don’t have an account, you need to Sign up. You can log in if you already have an account. If you already have an account but forgot your password, you can enter your mail id and a request will be sent to your mail through which your password can be reset. After that, you will be redirected to the login page to log in with your new password.
Feed Page
After you log in successfully, the feed will appear where the job vacancies and internship opportunities posted by the organizations can be seen by the students. There are also two special features on this page i.e., new post and chat options. The new post option: this option is mainly for the organizations to post announcements or posters regarding the job vacancies and the internship Opportunities, but the students can also use this feature efficiently by posting about the various projects they have worked on, etc.
Chatbox
This is generally more useful for the students as they can interact with the placement coordinators of their college and get proper guidance. Apart from this, there can also be an interaction between organizations, students and the placement cells with the help of this option.
Search Page
This is the search option where any student can simply search for their dream company and apply for it, but if the student wants to apply for the companies based on some parameters like choosing between a product based company and service-based company, range of the salary, etc., user can use the “search with filters option”.
Notifications
This option notifies you regarding the jobs you applied for and If you are ready for the coming rounds of interviews.
Explore Page
Explore has two sections in it. 1)Trending section, here the students will be able to see all the latest technologies that are trending in the current times so that they can update themselves by learning those technologies. 2) The second section is the companies visited, here the students will be able to see the list of companies that are going to visit their college.
2)Companies Visited When you click on any company, the student will be able to see the resumes of their seniors who got placed in that company, this gives them an idea about how the resume should look like so that there are more chances for the student to get hired. There is an FAQ’s option too, where commonly asked doubts about the interview process of a particular company will be answered.
User Profile Page
The profile is mainly beneficial for the organizations looking for hiring the graduates where they can see the students’ details such as bio, skills, interests, experience, achievements, etc., and their personal resume can also be seen in their profile. There are more options for the students to edit or update their profiles. They have a reminders option that will set reminders for the students about the upcoming placements/interviews. The shortlisted companies option is the list of companies that have sent call letters to that particular student.
The profile page is used to showcase the student’s talents, skills and achievements. They can also add their interests. The main feature in the profile is the resume option. Students can upload their resumes which will be helpful for companies while hiring them.
